When a brand new bait comes out, do not buy $50 of it until you know what color works best.
Remember hearing about this awesome bait that won a ton of tournaments, called the chatterbait. I bought brown and chartruese, 1/4 oz., about ten or so. Never caught a fish on them the whole summer. The following year I switched to a green and finally started catching some fish.

I have a boat full of lures that would fall into this catagory I also bought some chatterbaits this year from Victory Baits. I've had good success when I use them but I haven't given them much time in the water. I need to work on that.

It about prime time for the chatterbait and other shallow baits. The fall bite is a great when you can get the big fish up shallow and feeding up for winter
