Well the Mississippi River has been on fire despite the fact the river is 4' over flood stage and the weather has been really goofy this year. Lots of big fishing coming out of it, but I haven't had time to get on to many of them. It took 23.56 with 5 fish limit to win a few weeks ago which is outstanding. Top 5 in that tourney all had 20+lbs. He some fish I got so far. Jim I know this is going to kill you. Last I heard there is still 20" of ice on Mille Lacs right now. glad I don't live in MN. I just go there for vacation.
BuzBait, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah...go ahead and rub it in. I did get out yesterday for about 3 minutes until I lost my forward gear I think the cable broke. I used the trolling motor and fished my way back to the ramp. We did manage to catch 6-7 bass and one big sunny in that short time so that was cool.

hopefully it is just the cable. On my 30 hp duck motor I lost forward gear and it was because I burned up my lower unit. I had the duck blind on and 3 people in the boat. I tried to get on plane and must not have had the motor in the all the way down position so it got hot and melted my gears.
